“Our mission is to govern the legal profession, to serve our members, and to protect the public interest.”

“Mental health and wellness in the legal profession has recently taken a renewed focus, and May is Mental Health Awareness month. The May issue of Nevada Lawyer magazine gives an overview of the resources available to help legal professionals who may be dealing with the stress of their jobs in an unhealthy way.”

More than 13,000 working lawyers responded to the survey, and reported that:

• 28 percent of lawyers suffered from depression.

• 19 percent of lawyers had severe anxiety.

• 11.4 percent of lawyers had suicidal thoughts in the previous year.
