National Black Business Month is an annual observance in August dedicated to celebrating, supporting, and empowering Black-owned businesses across the United States.
National Black Business Month was established in 2004 by historian John William Templeton and engineer Frederick E. Jordan to highlight the contributions of Black entrepreneurs and address the unique challenges they face in accessing funding and resources. The observance encourages consumers, organizations, and business leaders to support Black-owned businesses, share their stories, and advocate for equitable opportunities in business and finance
